Taxonomy: Aphantochroa ? gularis Gould, 1860, Río Napo.
Formerly isolated in monospecific genus Agapeta. Probably closely related to H. branickii. Monotypic.

Distribution: E Andean foothills of S Colombia, NE Ecuador, NE Peru and extreme NW Brazil.
