Taxonomy: Batrachostomus septimus Tweeddale, 1877, Pasananca, near Zamboanga, Mindanao, Philippines.
Three subspecies recognized.
Subspecies and Distribution:
- microrhynchus Ogilvie-Grant, 1895 - Luzon and Catanduanes.
- menagei Bourns & Worcester, 1894 - Panay and Negros.
- septimus Tweeddale, 1877 - Bohol, Leyte, Samar, Mindanao and Basilan.
