Taxonomy: Zosterops grayi Wallace, 1864, Kai Islands.
Forms a superspecies with Z. uropygialis, and these two sometimes treated as conspecific; both sometimes considered to belong to the superspecies comprised of Z. chloris and Z. citrinella. Monotypic.

Distribution: Kai Besar I, in E Banda Sea.
