Taxonomy: Microeca ? flavovirescens G. R. Gray, 1858, Aru Islands.
Two subspecies recognized.
Subspecies and Distribution:
- cuicui (De Vis, 1897) - West Papuan Is (Waigeo, Batanta, Misool), Yapen I and mainland New Guinea (except for mountains and Trans-Fly region).
- flavovirescens G. R. Gray, 1858 - Trans-Fly region of New Guinea (between R Wassi Kussa and R Fly), and Aru Is.
