Taxonomy: Telespiza ultima Bryan, 1917, Nihoa Island.
Genus sometimes subsumed into Loxioides and has been included in Psittirostra. Probably forms a superspecies with T. cantans, and formerly considered conspecific. Monotypic.
Distribution: Nihoa, in NW Hawaiian Is.
