eichhorni Rothschild and E. J. O. Hartert, 1924, hills of
south-west New Ireland, Bismarck Archipelago.
Forms
a superspecies with P. fuscicapillus, P. subcorniculatus,
P. moluccensis, P. plumigenis, P. buceroides, P.
cockerelli and P. albitorques. Formerly suggested that all
may belong to a single species. Monotypic.
Distribution: New Ireland, in N Bismarck Archipelago.
