Taxonomy: Ceblepyris atriceps S. Müller, 1843, Celebes; error = Seram.
Forms a superspecies with C. macei, C. javensis, C. schistacea, C. personata, C. fortis, C. welchmani, C. caledonica and C. novaehollandiae, possibly also including C. caeruleogrisea. Two subspecies recognized.
Subspecies and Distribution:
- magnirostris (Bonaparte, 1850) - N Moluccas (Ternate, Halmahera, Kasiruta, Bacan).
- atriceps (S. Müller, 1843) - Seram (S Moluccas).
