Taxonomy: Apalis moreaui W. L. Sclater, 1931, Amani, Usambara Mountains, north-east Tanzania.
Affinities uncertain; sometimes placed in genus Orthotomus, but may be closer to Apalis. Two subspecies recognized.
Subspecies and Distribution:
- moreaui (W. L. Sclater, 1931) - E Usambara Mts, in NE Tanzania.
- sousae (Benson, 1945) - Njesi Plateau, in N Mozambique.
