Taxonomy: Phyllastrephus leucolepis Gatter, 1985, 20 km NW of Zwedru, near Cavalla River, Grand Gedeh County, Liberia.
Status unclear; relationship with P. icterinus, to which it is identical except for whitish spots on wings, requires investigation. Monotypic.

Distribution: Two forest patches 20 km NW of Zwedru, in E Liberia.
