Taxonomy: Procellaria neglecta Schlegel, 1863, Sunday Island = Raoul Island, Kermadec Group.
Two subspecies recognized.
Subspecies and Distribution:
- neglecta (Schlegel, 1863) - S Pacific, from Lord Howe and Kermadec Is E to Easter I.
- juana Mathews, 1935 - Juan Fernández Is; San Félix and San Ambrosio Is.
