Taxonomy: Andropadus laetissimus Sharpe, 1899, Nandi, Kenya.
May form a species pair with C. prigoginei. Two subspecies recognized.
Subspecies and Distribution:
- laetissima (Sharpe, 1899) - extreme S Sudan (Imatong Mts), NE DRCongo (Lendu Plateau S to highlands W of L Edward), W Uganda and SW Kenya.
- schoutedeni Prigogine, 1954 - E DRCongo (Mt Kabobo, Marungu Highlands) and extreme N Zambia (Kasangu).
