Taxonomy: Bulweria fallax Jouanin, 1955, north western Indian Ocean, lat. 12° 30' N, long. 55° E.
Has been considered conspecific with B. bulwerii, but recent work suggests they are distinct species (see page 217). Monotypic.
Distribution: NW Indian Ocean, breeding grounds undiscovered; suspected to breed in Oman, either inland in desert mountains, or along coast, e.g. on Kuria Muria Is.
