Taxonomy: Columba Bitorquata Temminck, 1810, Timor.
Forms a superspecies with S. decaocto, S. roseogrisea and S. reichenowi. Two subspecies recognized.
Subspecies and Distribution:
- dusumieri (Temminck, 1823) - Philippines; also recorded on N Borneo.
- bitorquata (Temminck, 1810) - Java and Bali through Lombok, Sumbawa, Komodo, Flores and Solor to Timor.
