Taxonomy: Pionopsitta fuertesi Chapman, 1912, Laguneta, Cauca, Colombia.
Forms superspecies with H. amazonina and H. pyrrhops, and all three have commonly been considered conspecific. Monotypic.
Distribution: C Andes of Colombia.
