Taxonomy: Camaroptera axillaris Reichenow, 1893, Uvamba, Semliki valley, western Uganda.
Formerly placed in genus Anthreptes. Sometimes treated as conspecific with D. fraseri, but the two meet in SW DRCongo apparently without intergrading. Monotypic.

Distribution: Congo Basin E to S & E Uganda and extreme NW Tanzania.
