Taxonomy: Diomedea chrysostoma J. R. Forster, 1785, vicinity of the Antarctic Circle and in the Pacific Ocean.
Monotypic.
Distribution: Circumpolar in Southern Ocean, breeding from Cape Horn E to Campbell I.
