Taxonomy: Myza
sarasinorum A. B. Meyer and Wiglesworth, 1895, Matinan Mountains,
north Sulawesi.
Relationships
of genus uncertain, suggested as possibly closest to Ptiloprora
and Melidectes; earlier, was placed close to Lichmera.
Three subspecies recognized.
Subspecies and Distribution:
- sarasinorum A. B. Meyer & Wiglesworth, 1895 - N Sulawesi.
- chionogenys Stresemann, 1931 - NC & SC Sulawesi.
- pholidota Stresemann, 1932 - SE Sulawesi.
