Taxonomy: Mirafra pulpa Friedmann, 1930, Sagan River, Shoa Province, Ethiopia.
Birds from R Nyiro, in NE Kenya, described as species “M. candida”, but type specimen appears indistinguishable from present species. Monotypic.
Distribution: S Ethiopia, N, C & SE Kenya and NE Tanzania.
