German: Forbesstärling
Spanish: Chango de Forbes
Taxonomy: Agelaius forbesi P. L. Sclater, 1886, Macuca, Pernambuco, Brazil.

Placed in present genus because bill shape similar to that of C. curaeus, but no DNA data available. General behaviour and voice suggest possible relationship with Macroagelaius, Lampropsar, Gymnomystax and Hypopyrrhus. Monotypic.
