Taxonomy: Phalacrocorax harrisi Rothschild, 1898, Narborough Island, Galapagos Archipelago.
Often separated from rest of family in monospecific genus Nannopterum; sometimes alternatively placed in Leucocarbo or Compsohalieus. Monotypic.
Distribution: Restricted to Fernandina I and N & W Isabela I, Galapagos Is.
