Taxonomy: Corythaix Fischeri Reichenow, 1878, Witu, Kenya.
A member of the T. persa superspecies. Two subspecies recognized.
Subspecies and Distribution:
- fischeri (Reichenow, 1878) - S Somalia, coastal Kenya (inland along R Tana to Bura), and NE Tanzania from E Usambaras S to R Wami.
- zanzibaricus Pakenham, 1938 - Zanzibar.
