Taxonomy: Lagonosticta cinereo-vinacea Sousa, 1889, Quindumbo, Angola.
Forms a superspecies with E. dybowskii. Two subspecies recognized.
Subspecies and Distribution:
- cinereovinacea ( Sousa, 1889) - W Angola.
- graueri ( Rothschild, 1909) - mountains of Albertine Rift in DRCongo, SW Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi.
