Taxonomy: Columba bollii Godman, 1872, Tenerife.
Forms a superspecies with C. trocaz, with which it is sometimes considered conspecific; also related to C. palumbus, C. unicinta and probably C. junoniae. Monotypic.
Distribution: Canary Is, occurring on La Palma, Gomera, Tenerife and El Hierro; formerly also on Gran Canaria, where now extinct.
