Taxonomy: Zosterops (?) atriceps G. R. Gray, 1861, Bacan, Moluccas.
Forms a superspecies with Z. atrifrons, Z. somadikartai, Z. nehrkorni, Z. stalkeri, Z. minor, Z. meeki and Z. hypoxanthus. Three subspecies recognized.
Subspecies and Distribution:
- dehaani van Bemmel, 1939 - Morotai, in N Moluccas.
- fuscifrons Salvadori, 1878 - Halmahera.
- atriceps G. R. Gray, 1861 - Bacan and Obi.
