Other common names: Mountain Tococo
Taxonomy: Enicornis melanura G. R. Gray, 1846, no locality = Chile.
Generally considered most closely related to Eremobius and Upucerthia, but has also been thought to be closest to Cinclodes. Two subspecies recognized.
Subspecies and Distribution:
- atacamae Hellmayr, 1925 - NC Chile (Atacama, Coquimbo).
- melanura ( G. R. Gray, 1846) - C Chile (Aconcagua S to Colchagua).
