Taxonomy: Funingus sganzini Bonaparte, 1854, Comoro Islands.
Forms superspecies with A. madagascariensis and A. pulcherrima. Two subspecies recognized.
Subspecies and Distribution:
- minor Berlepsch, 1898 - Aldabra Is.
- sganzini (Bonaparte, 1854) - Comoro Is, on Ngazidja (Grand Comoro), Ndzuani (Anjouan) and Maore (Mayotte).
