Taxonomy: Perdix Chukar J. E. Gray, 1830, India = Srinagar.
Previously placed in superspecies with A. philbyi, A. barbara and A. rufa, but now proposed to form superspecies with A. magna, A. graeca and A. philbyi. Has been included within A. graeca. A. kakelik is a synonym. Taxonomy: Perdix Chukar J. E. Gray, 1830, India = Srinagar.
Previously placed in superspecies with A. philbyi, A. barbara and A. rufa, but now proposed to form superspecies with A. magna, A. graeca and A. philbyi. Has been included within A. graeca. A. kakelik is a synonym. Fourteen subspecies currently recognized.
