Taxonomy: Zosterops natalis Lister, 1889, Christmas Island.
Distinct species with no known close relatives; in appearance most resembles Z. griseovirescens of Gulf of Guinea (W Africa). Monotypic.

Distribution: Christmas I (Indian Ocean); introduced on Horsburgh I, in S Cocos Is.
