Taxonomy: Turdus mupinensis Laubmann, 1920, mountains of Chinese Tibet = Mupin, Sichuan.
May form a superspecies with T. philomelos. Monotypic.
Distribution: EC & S China from Hebei and SW Gansu S to Yunnan.
