Taxonomy: Herodias eulophotes Swinhoe, 1860, Amoy, China.
Formerly thought to be a white morph of E. sacra. Monotypic.
Distribution: Breeds in Korea, E China and possibly also in E Siberia; non breeders range from Japan to Sumatra and E to Philippines.
