Chatham Snipe (Coenocorypha pusilla)

Taxonomy: Gallinago pusilla Buller, 1869, small rocky islet off Chatham Island.
Forms superspecies with C. aucklandica, of which sometimes considered a race. Monotypic.

Distribution: Chatham Is, occurring only on islands of Rangatira (South-east), Mangere, Little Mangere and Star Keys.
