Taxonomy: Bucco corvinus Temminck, 1831, Java.
Belongs to the group that also includes M. chrysopogon, M. rafflesii, M. mystacophanos and M. javensis. Thought by some to represent M. chrysopogon in Java, and this may prove to be a valid interpretation. Monotypic.
