Two subspecies recognized.
Subspecies and Distribution:
- jobiensis A. B. Meyer, 1874 - Yapen I; NC New Guinea.
- longicauda A. B. Meyer, 1891 - E New Guinea, W to R Sepik and possibly R Aroa.
