Other common names: Brown-chested (Wattled) Plover
Taxonomy: Lobivanellus superciliosus Reichenow, 1886, Marungu, Zaire.
Formerly placed in monospecific genus Anomalophrys. Monotypic.
Distribution: Probably breeds from Togo to NE Zaire, but only definite records from Nigeria. Non-breeding records from E Ghana across C & N Cameroon and S Chad to most of Zaire (except CW), LVictoria and NW Tanzania. Limits of range poorly known.
