Taxonomy: Petrochelidon murina Cassin, 1853, Ecuador.
Has been placed in genus Atticora or in a separate genus Orochelidon. Three subspecies recognized.
Subspecies and Distribution:
- meridensis (J. T. Zimmer & Phelps, Sr, 1947) - W Venezuela.
- murina (Cassin, 1853) - Andes in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru.
- cyanodorsalis (Carriker, 1935) - S Peru and C Bolivia.
