Taxonomy: Bucco Ordii Cassin, 1851, Venezuela.
Forms a superspecies with N. pectoralis. Monotypic.
Distribution: S Venezuela (Amazonas), NW & NC Brazil (N of Amazon and in Mato Grosso), E Peru and N Bolivia; also probably E Colombia.
