Taxonomy: Ceriornis Blythii Jerdon, 1870, Nagaland, India.
Race molesworthi only known from three specimens. Two subspecies recognized.
Subspecies and Distribution:
- blythii (Jerdon, 1870) - now largely confined to Nagaland, NE India. Historically reported from Manipur (NE India), Burma and SC China (NW Yunnan); may still occur in these areas in small numbers.
- molesworthi Stuart Baker, 1914 - E Bhutan (known only from skins of two males and one female).
