Taxonomy: Elminia albicauda Bocage, 1877, Caconda, Angola.
Forms a superspecies with E. longicauda; the two have been placed in a genus Errannornis, but differences considered insufficient to merit generic separation. Monotypic.
Distribution: SW Uganda S through Rift Valley to SW Tanzania, Malawi and N Mozambique (Tete District) and W to S DRCongo, N Zambia and C Angola; also N Tanzania (Bugarama and Kifunzo).
