Taxonomy: Urochroma dilectissima P. L. Sclater and Salvin, 1871, south of Mérida, Venezuela.
Sometimes treated as conspecific with T. costaricensis. Monotypic.
Distribution: E Panama through NE Colombia to W Venezuela, and S on Pacific slope to NW Ecuador.
