Spanish: Buco Listado
Taxonomy: Malacoptila fulvogularis P. L. Sclater, 1854, Bolivia.
May form a superspecies with M. panamensis and M. mystacalis. Previously recognized Colombian races substriata (Meta) and huilae (Huila) remain poorly known and are probably invalid. Monotypic.
Distribution: E slope of Andes from C Colombia to S Ecuador, Peru and NW Bolivia.
