Taxonomy: Anous minutus Boie, 1844, Raine Island, Australia.
Forms superspecies with A. tenuirostris, with which sometimes considered conspecific. Seven subspecies recognized.

minutus Boie, 1844 - NE Australia and New Guinea to Tuamotu Is.
