Taxonomy: Cryptolopha herberti Alexander, 1903, Bakaki, Bioko.
Has been placed in genus Seicercus. Forms a superspecies with P. budongoensis. Racial identity of population in mainland Equatorial Guinea uncertain; tentatively included in nominate race. Two subspecies recognized.
Subspecies and Distribution:
- camerunensis (Alexander, 1909) - highlands of SE Nigeria (Obudu and Mambilla Plateaux) and W Cameroon.
- herberti (Alexander, 1903) - Bioko I (Fernando Póo) and mainland Equatorial Guinea (Mt Alen).
