Taxonomy: Ægialitis thoracica Richmond, 1896, Loholoka, east coast of Madagascar.
Probably best considered to form superspecies with C. pecuarius and C. sanctaehelenae. Monotypic.
Distribution: SW coast of Madagascar; occasionally reported from E coast.
