Taxonomy: Erythromyias timorensis Hellmayr, 1919, Timor.
Has been considered as having closer affinities with Australasian robins (Petroicidae), but similarities only superficial and possibly a result of convergence. Monotypic.
Distribution: Timor, in E Lesser Sundas.
