Taxonomy: Aestrelata cahow Nichols and Mowbray, 1916, southeastern side of Castle Island, Bermuda.
Sometimes treated as race of P. hasitata. May be conspecific with P. feae, and individual of latter recently captured in Azores could be link; also linked to P. madeira on grounds of shared feather louse. Monotypic.

Distribution: Islets in Castle Harbour (Bermuda).
