Angola Slaty-flycatcher (Melaenornis brunneus) - HBW 11, p. 105
French: Gobemouche d’Angola
German: Angoladrongoschnäpper
Spanish: Papamoscas Angoleño
Other common names: Angola (Chocolate) Flycatcher
Taxonomy: Dioptrornis brunnea Cabanis, 1886, Pungo Andongo, Malanje, Angola.
Forms a superspecies with M. fischeri and M. chocolatinus, and all three are sometimes placed in a separate genus, Dioptrornis; they are sometimes considered conspecific, but degree of difference and distributions suggest that treatment as allospecies is better. Two subspecies recognized.

- bailunduensis (Neumann, 1929) - W Angola, from highlands of S Cuanza Sul and Huambo S to Huíla (likely also in highlands of E Benguela).
