Every year a large group arrives here in Amsterdam around Januari / Februari. Normally they stay only 1 or 2 days, because of the cold the stayed for at least 4 weeks. You can clearly hear why it's also referred to as the "whistling" duck. At one point you can hear the sound of a mallard.
