A locally common rush-bird at the Peruvian coast and n the Andean altiplano (3200-4300 m) who’s habitat is restricted to beds of tall and moderately tall reeds (especially Scirpus). It can be observed with Nature Expeditions' birding trips to coastal wetlands in Peru like for example the Pantanos de Puerto Viejo: www.nature-expeditions-peru.com
