CAN ANYONE IDENTIFY THIS BIRD?
This bird was killed by my neighbor's cat (but thankfully not eaten!). My guess is it's either a species of Finch or of Warbler. I've never been able to see or identify either Family in my neighborhood (though I'm almost sure they're here, because I hear a song which seems to be either Finch or Warbler).
It has a distinct Yellowish hue near edges of Breast & Belly, which are mostly Whitish. Throat and chin are completely White-grayish, & Eyeline is mostly Orange-yellowish (with a black spot at front base of eye). Crown & forehead are Brownish.
Back is Light Yellow-greenish (redish tinge at one spot is blood from wound). Outer tail feathers are same (light yellow-greenish). Wing bars are Yellowish-white.
HELP! Thanks!
(NOTE: 1st of 3 photos of same bird, different angles, sides).
