Also known as the Siffling Cisticola this is a small unstreaked Cisticola of open Savanna woodland on moist soils. It is difficult to distinguish from the similar Rufous Cisticola but is less uniform rufous-brown with a slight contrast between the grey-brown nape/mantle and the browner wings (this contrast is lacking in Rufous Cisticola).
